Visited the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart: A dream came true

I cannot even begin to describe the visceral excitement I could feel, because I was right there, in a place I had long wanted to visit.

BHPian shankar.balan recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

I was very lucky on a recent holiday in the EU Zone, to visit the Porsche Museum, rent and drive a Porsche and go to their Gift Shop and buy some small mementos like scale models and period postcards etc.

I am not going to bore everyone any more with how my Porsche dreams came true and all the rest of the uninteresting personal gobbledegook.

โ€˜A Picture is Worth a Thousand Wordsโ€™, so Iโ€™ll simply cut to the chase and place some specific, curated pictures of my favourite cars and their legends.

Enjoy!

The Entrance to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart

A pair of Gorgeous Iconic Cars out front.

There were some authorised Photographers out there and they were taking some seriously professional-looking pictures. I was wandering around at the time without realising this and they politely asked me to buzz off, which I immediately did (with a Red Face!)

Donโ€™t miss the photo with the cars and their reflections.

Now to go in. It was 0900 and true to their Teutonic Precision they opened bang on time and let us in. We had been in correspondence with them much earlier and found out that the Factory Tours were fully booked, but that the Museum Visit was not an issue. We then got our tickets and went inside.

And I can tell you, it was a different world entirely. I cannot even begin to describe the visceral excitement I could feel, because I was right there, in a place I had long wanted to visit.

Anyway, here are some photos of their โ€œearly machinesโ€ – I don’t know how to describe the joy I felt, to be so near to these beauties and to listen to the Audio guide, read their history and soak it all in.
