JK Tyre Drift Challenge to be held at Buddh International Circuit

The JK Tyre Formula Imperial and Indian Karting Races will also be held alongside the Drift Challenge.

JK Tyre will be hosting its inaugural ‘Drift Challenge’ at the Buddh International Circuit on October 16, 2023.

The JK Tyre Drift Challenge will feature 25 high-performance machines that will be driven by some of India’s top drivers. International drifting experts, including Alistair Woodham, Cristiani Nanami Lazaro and Tanakorn Lertyaovarit will be the judges for the event.

Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers around a corner while maintaining total control of the vehicle. Drivers are judged based on line, angle, style, and speed.

The JK Tyre Formula Imperial and Indian Karting Races will also be held alongside the Drift Challenge.

Apart from the motorsport events, over 2,000 engineering students will showcase their innovations in vehicle aerodynamics, battery & powertrain design, brakes and suspension. Their creations will be tested in a 12-lap endurance race.
