Tata Nexon facelift unveiled; bookings to open on September 4
The updated Nexonwill rival the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza & Mahindra XUV300; among other compact SUVs.
Tata Motors has finally revealed the Nexon facelift. Official bookings will commence on September 4, 2023. The SUV will be available in four trims – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless.
The design of the Nexon facelift is based on the Curvv concept. The all-new front fascia features a slim grille and a split-headlamp design. It gets new L-shaped LED daytime running lights, while the main headlamp clusters are positioned on the front bumper. Tata Motors has also reworked the rear design, giving the Nexon a new set of LED tail lights connected by an LED light bar and new dual-tone alloy wheels.
The interior also draws inspiration from the Curvv concept. The dashboard looks simple and uncluttered. There is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a new HVAC unit with haptic touch switches. The car also gets an all-new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre and a digital instrument console. Other features include a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, an air purifier and connected car tech.
The Nexon facelift will be available with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 118 BHP and 170 Nm. Customers can choose from four transmission options – a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with paddle shifters.
The updated Nexon also retains the 1.5-litre diesel engine. It will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.
