Tata Curvv pre-production bodyshell spied for the first time

The Tata Curvv could be offered with turbo-petrol and electric powertrains.

We recently published the first spy images of the Tata Curvv SUV coupe. Now, a new image shared on social media has revealed the car’s pre-production bodyshell without any camouflage.

The bare bodyshell of the Curvv was spotted inside the factory as it was being transported by a forklift. It appears to be a pre-production prototype or could be part of a trial production run to calibrate the assembly line for the new model.

The new SUV coupe from Tata Motors will borrow design cues from the Curvv concept. In fact, the carmaker already revealed its near-production form during the Auto Expo 2023. It will feature a curved roofline with a steeply raked windshield at the rear.

In terms of powertrain options, the Tata Curvv could be offered with a turbo-petrol engine. The carmaker also plans to offer a pure-electric version of the SUV. It is likely to be based on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture.
