‘Race for Glory: Audi vs Lancia’ to hit theatres on January 18
The first trailer for the upcoming movie has been released
A new motorsport-based movie is about to hit the big screens in January 2024. The upcoming movie titled “Race for Glory: Audi vs Lancia”, depicts the rivalry between the two brands during the 1983 World Rally Championship.
The movie isn’t a documentary, but “an action-packed sports drama inspired by true events”. It highlights the rivalry between the Audi Quattro A1 and the Lancia 037, which had debuted a year earlier as the successor to the Stratos, retaining the rear-wheel-drive layout.
The movie stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Daniel Bruhl, Katie Clarkson-Hill and Volker Bruch. The latter plays the role of the Lancia driver Walter Rohrl, while Daniel Bruhl (played Niki Lauda in Rush) portrays Audi’s race director Roland Gumpert.
The first trailer for the upcoming movie has been released, with the movie scheduled to hit theatres on January 18, 2024.
