Mercedes-Benz EQE electric SUV launched at Rs 1.39 crore
The EQE competes with the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace.
Mercedes-Benz has launched its third all-electric model in India. The new EQE electric SUV is available in the 500 4Matic variant, priced at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom).
The EQE electric SUV measures 4,863 mm in length, 1,685 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. It rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and features air suspension, which can raise the ride height by 25 mm.
The EQE SUV borrows design cues from the flagship EQS, featuring an aerodynamic front fascia with a gloss black centre section. The car gets LED headlights with an LED light bar connecting the two headlamp clusters. The rear also features wraparound LED tail lights that sit flush with the bodywork.
The interior of the EQE is in line with other EQ models. It comes with Mercedes’ Hyperscreen integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display and an additional screen for the front passenger. The EQE also comes packed with most of the connectivity tech and comfort & convenience features.
The EQE 500 4Matic comes with a 90.56 kWh battery that powers two electric motors. It has 402 BHP and 858 Nm and can cover 550 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle). Mercedes claims a 0-100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h. The EQE also supports 170 kW of DC fast charging. The service interval is 2 years.
