BMW Motorrad has launched the M 1000 R in India. The roadster is available in two variants: standard and Competition, priced at Rs 33 lakh and Rs 38 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
The M 1000 R is essentially a naked version of BMWโs flagship superbike, the M 1000 RR. It is powered by the same 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine but has been tuned to produce 209 BHP @ 14,500 rpm and 113 Nm @ 11,000 rpm.
