Tradesman brands Sadiq Khan an ‘absolute s**’ over new ULEZ scheme

Farage Talks About The Ulez In The Part Of Rural London Where He Lives

A tradesman has slammed Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion as he branded the Mayor of London “an absolute s**”.

The worker then admitted he “hated” Khan who has led an expansion of the ULEZ scheme to Outer London boroughs.

The unidentified tradesman was at first hesitant to unveil his true feelings but eventually let rip with a damning attack on the Labour politician.

Speaking to TalkTV, the tradesman said: “I think it’s totally wrong. £12.50 per day is not going to change anything.

“It’s not people who can afford cars. It’s people who are struggling and it’s just going to make people struggle even worse.

“Little businesses around here and that. We all know people can’t afford it. It’s always people at the bottom who are going to struggle.”

“It’s hard it is. It’s getting harder on the working class people that struggle every day.”

When asked what his message to the Mayor was, the tradesman said he couldn’t unveil his thoughts on camera.

When reassured that he could say what he wanted, the gentleman issued a scathing rebuttal of the Mayor.

He added: “He’s a *******. He’s an absolute s**. I hate him. We need to get him out. That’s it.”

The expansion will see drivers as far out as Harrow and Bromley slapped with £12.50 per day fees to drive their non-compliant vehicles.

It could see some road users forced to pay around £87.50 per week or £375 per month if they use their vehicles every day.

According to the RAC, around 700,000 drivers will be affected by the scheme’s expansion.

Tradespeople and small businesses are likely to be massively affected by the new ULEZ scheme.

Research from Fix Radio, – the UK’s only radio station for builders and tradespeople – has claimed the scheme will have a detrimental effect on the sector.

A staggering 21 percent of tradespeople say it is too expensive to use their van or vehicle for work due to the cost of driving into a major city.

A massive 17 percent say the ULEZ expansion and Transit Tax have had a detrimental impact on their business.

But, Khan has defended his programme with tradespeople able to claim £5,000 in grants through the vehicle scrappage scheme.

He has also suggested the programme could reduce travel times for builders due to a lack of traffic on the roads.

Khan told Fix Radio: “The first thing to recognise is, you know, tradespeople are concerned about the amount of congestion on our roads, what we want to do is take off our roads, cars that don’t need to be there.

“So those people who need to be driving and they include many of your listeners and readers who needs to be driving can do so without being stuck in traffic, actually, by having more people walk, cycle and use public transport, it means less time stuck in traffic and leads to greater productivity.”
