‘My neighbour parked way go close to my car, so I left him a little note’

A Reddit user has shared their response to an unruly neighbour who crossed the line and parked too close to their car.

Posting to r/mildlyinfuriating, a sub-Reddit in which social media users post problems that annoy them in everyday life, @AJ3295 posted about their neighbour’s parking habits.

In the post, they shared a photo of a dark green SUV which is parked next to the user’s white Toyota sedan.

However, to retaliate for parking too closely, @AJ3295 stated that they left the neighbour a message to encourage them to leave more of a distance in the future.

They wrote: “My apartment garage neighbour parked way too close, so I left him a little note.”

In the note, @AJ3295 explained that their indoor parking lot featured a large pillar that makes her space tighter than most.

It reads: “I don’t have much room to work with since the pillars are on my passenger side.

“Please try to avoid parking on the line so I can fit into my spot and get out on my driver’s side door.”

Whilst many drivers have experienced a bad driver, viewers of @AJ3295’s post noticed that the Redditor’s neighbour always parked next to them in their numbered space.

Nevertheless, since the wheels of the vehicle were still within the white lines, the neighbour could not be fined.

Instead, drivers who experience parking problems from a neighbour are advised to settle the matter calmly before calling the police if the problem persists.

Many other Reddit users applauded how @AJ3295 remained peaceful when dealing with the neighbour.

One Redditor commented: “You wrote a much calmer note than I would have. I applaud your level of composure. I sincerely hope they appreciate your kindness and actually do better going forward.”

Another added: “This happened to me the other day. Fortunately, I could at least climb in through the passenger side.”
