Drivers should never wipe windscreen to defog car but use clever button

Motorists across the country are rejoicing after a TikTokker has revealed they no longer need to wipe their windscreens with a cloth to get rid of fog.

The TikTok account Precise Auto revealed to users of the video app that every car is fitted with a designated button that defogs cars automatically.

Warning against using a cloth to wipe away fog, the social media creator said: “Not only is it ineffective but it also affects the driving safety.”

The simple solution is found by locating your car’s “automatic windshield defogging function” and turning it on.

Once it’s turned on Precise Auto advises to turn “Recirculation mode” off – meaning air is not needlessly moved around the car.
