2024 Hyundai Sonata, BMW X7 top this week’s new car reviews

Entering Labor Day weekend, American muscle cars may fill roadways before the weather cools. But Dodge muscle cars remain hot regardless of the weather, since they were the most stolen cars per insured vehicle from the 2020-2022 model years. 

That’s not all that was hot this week. Here’s what moved us.

Refreshed for 2024, the Hyundai Sonata mid-size sedan sports a new look with an updated interior and three powertrain options, including a hybrid.

2024 BMW X7 review

Wearing arguably the best version of BMW’s new corporate face, the 2024 X7 offers up great performance and a huge interior. The luxury SUV ranks high at 7.4 out of 10. 

2024 Lincoln Navigator review

The 2024 Lincoln Navigator incorporates suave styling and smart features across its full-size SUV body. It earns a TCC Rating of 7.2 out of 10. 

2024 Volkswagen Taos review

While light on styling and performance pizzazz, the 2024 Taos small crossover is comfortable and spacious. Stick to lower-trim versions and it earns a respectable TCC Rating of 6.6 out of 10.

2024 Volkswagen Arteon review

Sleek, stylish, and practical, the VW Arteon large sedan waves the anti-SUV flag, and earns a TCC Rating of 6.5 out of 10.

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan review

Well-equipped and spacious, the Tiguan compact crossover offers a friendly approach to performance and plenty of value. It earns a TCC Rating of 6.2 out of 10. 

2024 Hyundai Venue review

Hyundai’s smallest crossover SUV, aka hatchback,  provides competitive bang for the buck, though its performance doesn’t particularly impress. It’s a 5.8 out of 10. 

2024 Volkswagen Jetta review

The 2024 Jetta compact sedan boasts slick handling, a composed ride, and plenty of tech. It’s a 5.7 out of 10 on the TCC scale.

2024 Mitsubishi Mirage review

The 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage leans hard into the subcompact car reputation for being slow and cheap, and it may be the last year it’s made.
