Alfa Romeo ended its partnership with the Sauber F1 team at the end of the 2023 season. The F1 team will become Audi’s factory F1 team from the 2026 season, however, until then, the team will run a generic name – Stake F1 team Kick Sauber.

Reports suggest that the F1 team did not want to switch naming rights directly from one brand to another & hence will run the generic name until Audi takes over. The name integrates two title sponsors: Stake, an online casino and Kick – a Twitch-like streaming website.

In addition to the team name, Sauber will also integrate ‘Kick’ into the name of its chassis. The 2024 F1 season contender will be called ‘Kick Sauber C44’.

The Sauber name change could be one of two rebrands ahead of the 2024 F1 season. Scuderia AlphaTauri, owned by Red Bull, is also expected to undergo a name change. However, AlphaTauri or Red Bull is yet to make an official announcement at this time.
