{"id":248338,"date":"2023-12-13T07:21:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T07:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/automotobuzz.com\/?p=248338"},"modified":"2023-12-13T07:21:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T07:21:00","slug":"experienced-off-roading-in-a-jimny-at-an-event-organised-by-maruti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/automotobuzz.com\/news-features\/experienced-off-roading-in-a-jimny-at-an-event-organised-by-maruti\/","title":{"rendered":"Experienced off-roading in a Jimny at an event organised by Maruti"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The steep down slope where the HDC was put to good use while the car was in 4L 1st. <\/h2>\n<p><strong>BHPian Samba<\/strong> recently shared this with other enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Maruti organised an off-road event in Kolkata to showcase the capabilities of their Jimny.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/1_84.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/2_85.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>This was a very well-organised event, where safety was given the first priority. The good thing was that, anyone with a valid driving license, who wanted to experience the Jimny off-road could drive the car with a professional instructors from Maruti seating beside them.<\/p>\n<p>The instructors<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/3_87.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>To drive the car, one had to register at the kiosk. Coffee mug and snacks were given to all the participants.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/4_86.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/5_81.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/6_75.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>The track was a mixture of some easy, tricky &amp; technical obstacles where the car&#8217;s electronics like BLD, Hill-hold assist, traction control and of course the 4wd was put to good use.<\/p>\n<p>With an experienced offroader, many of the obstacles were possible in the 2wd mode with the traction control off. This was also possible in 2wd &amp; TC off. The BLD worked superbly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/9_50.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>The side incline:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/10_41.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/11_34.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>The steep down slope where the HDC was put to good use while the car was in 4L 1st.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/12_29.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>This uphill was doable in 4H 1st with TC off.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/13_25.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>Side-angle drop. The right turn was tricky, this needed a proper judgement from the driver.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/14_19.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/15_16.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>Trench crossover.
