Yesterday’s late-breaking news that Ford is going to cut its F-150 Lightning production in half for 2024 is likely to be framed as another doom-and-gloom story for the electric vehicle market. And let’s face it: it’s not an amazing headline for Ford, even if matching supply to demand is a financially smarter play for the near term.
