Renault is gearing up to unveil the all-new 5 EV at the Geneva Motor Show next year. Ahead of its global unveil, the carmaker has revealed a number of teaser images of the upcoming EV.

The teaser images reveal a number of key features, including retro-styled headlights & tail lights, concealed rear door handles, short overhangs and a prominent roof spoiler. However, one of the most interesting features can be seen on the bonnet – a large “5” shaped display, meant to indicate the charge status of the car’s battery.

The Renault 5 will be a city-oriented EV with a length of 3.92 metres. Initially, the EV will come with a standard 52 kWh battery offering a claimed range of 400 km on a single charge.

The Renault 5 is expected to be priced under the $30,000 price bracket and will be followed by the Renault 4 and Twingo in 2026.
