Hyundai has handed over the keys to the 1,100th unit of the Ioniq 5 to Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, to commemorate his 25-year association with the brand.<\/p>\n
The partnership between Hyundai and Shah Rukh Khan has been one of the longest in the industry. The carmaker decided to celebrate this long-standing relationship with the superstar by presenting him with the Ioniq 5, which also happens to be SRK\u2019s first electric car.<\/p>\n
The Ioniq 5 was launched at Auto Expo 2023. It is sold alongside the Kona Electric. The Ioniq 5 is based on the E-GMP platform that is shared with the Kia EV6. It is powered by a 72.6 kWh battery pack offering an ARAI-certified range of 631 km on a single charge. The car comes with a rear-mounted electric motor that makes 216 BHP and 350 Nm. It also supports 800V fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10-80% in 18 minutes.<\/p>\n
