An automotive influencer has showed viewers what a car looks like after it has covered over one million miles, stating it has held up remarkably well.<\/p>\n
TFLclassics is a YouTube channel that posts videos featuring interesting classic and retro cars from all over the world and in all conditions.<\/p>\n
In one of their videos, presenter Nathan Adlan takes a look at a 1990 Honda Accord, telling viewers how its owner has managed to drive it for a million miles.<\/p>\n
\u201cEver wondered what it takes to drive your car for over a million miles? Well, a guy named Joe bought this Accord brand new back in 1990 and drove it over a million miles.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt took 185 oil changes; he went through nine timing belts. It\u2019s still on its original engine and transmission, the only time it was ever towed was when the fuel pump went out at 741,000 miles. 13 sets of brake pads and 72 sets of tyres later, and you\u2019ve got an Accord at a million miles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whilst Nathan did note that the interior was no longer particularly fresh, with some marks on the seats and the plastic steering wheel somewhat gooey, he was impressed at the overall cars condition.<\/p>\n
However, whilst the Honda has covered significantly more miles than most cars, one American owner continues to drive a 1966 Volvo 1800S, which has over 3,000,000 miles on the clock.<\/p>\n
Motorists who want to get the most life out of their car need to make sure it is maintained regularly, so that mechanical issues are dealt with quickly before worsening.<\/p>\n
