Dacia shuts website for Black Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>A bold strategy from Dacia sees the firm close its online sales throughout the day <\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.autoexpress.co.uk\/image\/private\/s--11lee9im--\/f_auto,t_author-mobile@1\/v1570031548\/autoexpress\/alastair_crooks_headshot.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.autoexpress.co.uk\/image\/private\/s--5hBfjuZo--\/f_auto,t_primary-image-mobile@1\/v1679328016\/autoexpress\/2023\/03\/2023%20Dacia%20Duster%20UK%20drive.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Dacia has always been one to poke fun at the automotive industry (think back to its dig at BMW\u2019s controversial subscription services with free hot water bottles) and the Romanian firm is back at it &#8211; this time with Black Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You might think the budget-conscious Dacia brand would be making the most of Black Friday with discounted deals, but Dacia has said it will shut down its online sales and car configurator during the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.autoexpress.co.uk\/image\/private\/s--VqolE3l1--\/f_auto,t_related-embed-mobile@1\/v1696853454\/autoexpress\/2023\/10\/Dacia%20Duser%20long%20termer%20second%20report.jpg\">Dacia Duster Expression TCe 130: long-term test review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, said:<em> <\/em>&quot;At Dacia, Black Friday is just a normal Friday. Shutting down our online sales for the day is a bold move but it does show our commitment to being the UK&#x27;s number one car manufacturer for value.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to Dacia, it appears the UK population also has a sceptical eye on Black Friday with 70 per cent of Brits believing Black Friday is a marketing gimmick. Dacia will also put out a radio advert to play relaxing sounds &#8211; so that consumers can \u201ctune out of the Black Friday noise\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Dacia online sales and configurator site will be back up and running on Saturday 25 November.
