You do, however, need a very chunky deposit.<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.autoexpress.co.uk\/image\/private\/s--eG_do0fd--\/f_auto,t_author-mobile@1\/v1579703848\/autoexpress\/dsc_2139.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.autoexpress.co.uk\/image\/private\/s--WzIVnHOC--\/f_auto,t_primary-image-mobile@1\/v1699382187\/Renault%20Arkana-5.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>0% APR<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Efficient hybrid powertrain<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2 years\u2019 free servicing if you order this weekend<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Renault has a history of not playing things exactly by the book when it comes to its finance offers and this \u00a344-per-month PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) package on the Arkana coupe SUV is no exception. The monthly payments might be ludicrously low but you do need to stump-up a deposit of nearly \u00a39,500 to access them.<\/p>\n<p>For buyers who do have access to that kind of deposit, this could be a highly cost-effective way into a new Renault and that\u2019s why it\u2019s our Deal of the Day. It\u2019s 0% APR so you\u2019re avoiding interest charges and Renault is even offering two years of free servicing if you order before November 20, which is Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The deal maps out as follows. You pay the \u00a39,448 deposit, then 25 monthly payments of \u00a344, which might well be cheaper than your phone contract. After that there\u2019s an optional final payment of \u00a316,499 that you can either pay to own the car outright or walk away, potentially using any equity left in the deal as a deposit on another car. Because it\u2019s 0% APR, the total of all that is the \u00a326,995 list price of a Renault Arkana E-Tech hybrid in Evolution trim, you don\u2019t pay a penny more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/media.autoexpress.co.uk\/image\/private\/s--gohsNoi9--\/f_auto,t_related-embed-mobile@1\/v1678788928\/autoexpress\/2023\/03\/Best%20hybrid%20SUVs%20-%20header.jpg\">Top 10 best hybrid SUVs to buy 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even with that king-sized deposit, it\u2019s a good way of keeping your monthly outgoings down and possibly a viable way to get into a new car instead of the \u00a310,000 used car you might have been considering.<\/p>\n<p>The Arkana itself is a mixed bag. We really like the sleeker coupe-SUV looks with the roofline that drops away to the tailgate. It\u2019s also impressively efficient with that 1.6-litre full hybrid system returning 60mpg on the official tests and 48mpg in our real world testing. There\u2019s a lot of room inside too, certainly enough for a family of four.<\/p>\n<p>On the downside, the engine isn\u2019t particularly refined and the noise levels in the cabin may take a bit of getting used to. We also found the interior quality less impressive that you get in Renault\u2019s latest offerings like the Megane E-Tech &#8211; the design and materials could be better.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As far as the Evolution trim models we\u2019re looking at here go, there\u2019s 17\u201d alloy wheels, parking sensors, a rear view camera and a touchscreen infotainment system that combines a 7\u201d central display with a 7\u201d digital instrument cluster. There\u2019s also a very similar deal on the plusher Techno trim level where you pay \u00a348 a month with a \u00a310,148 deposit to get bigger alloy wheels, the bigger 9.3\u201d touchscreen and a 10\u201d drivers display, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, all our Deal of the Day offers are subject to availability and change.
