The outcome is intended to celebrate \u2018more than two centuries of combined coachbuilding\u2019 which is doubtless a worthy undertaking &#8211; especially when it involves a \u2018limited run of individual commissions\u2019. We can virtually hear the Pickersleigh Road cash register ringing from here.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As you might expect, Pininfarina is taking the lead on the design front, while the actual cars are likely to be built in Malvern. Based on Morgan\u2019s limited (in a good way) portfolio, it\u2019s probably safe to assume that we\u2019re talking about a swept-back roadster powered by a BMW engine &#8211; but a novel interpretation of its traditional styling language is a welcome twist. Or we assume it will be at any rate, if Pininfarina\u2019s legacy of \u2018purity and elegance in design\u2019 comes to the fore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoachbuilding goes to the very essence of creating a car and is something that we have nurtured and protected at Morgan,\u201d noted Massimo Fumarola, Morgan\u2019s CEO. \u201cCoachbuilding is not constrained by trends and borders, as we are discovering through this collaboration. The shared passion between Morgan and Pininfarina is clear, and we look forward to sharing much more with our community in due course.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Morgan has been down the special edition route multiple times before, of course &#8211; most recently with the CX-T (a \u2018gentrified Ariel Nomad\u2019 to quote Matt B) a car that was intended to demonstrate the flexibility of its new aluminium CX platform. It was built in collaboration with Dakar specialist, RallyRaid; just eight were produced and all of them immediately sold despite a \u00a3200k asking price. Naturally, two of them are currently for sale on PH &#8211; we quite like this one, in Land Rover borrowed Sand Glow Yellow.
