An ex-employee of Ducat Bangalore has been arrested for allegedly defrauding customers and pocketing Rs 5 crore.<\/p>\n
The former operations head of VST Ducati is said to have siphoned off Rs 5.2 crore by selling around 21 bikes between July 2019 and September 2023. He is said to have collected the money from the customers and deposited it in multiple bank accounts, including one in the name of ‘Office Facility Suppliers’.<\/p>\n
In an audit conducted by the dealership, it was found that the sale of 9 Ducati Panigales, 3 Multistradas, 4 Diavels, 2 Monsters, and one unit each of the DesertX, Scrambler and Streetfighter, were not shown in the records.<\/p>\n
The fraud came to light when customers who had purchased their bikes from the showroom were not able to register them with the RTO.<\/p>\n
