Skoda has taken the wraps off the latest version of its flagship sedan, the Superb. The new-generation Skoda Superb comes with a host of updates in terms of design, interior upgrades and plenty of new features and tech.

The 2024 Skoda Superb is now underpinned by the MQB EVO platform, making the sedan 43 mm longer than its predecessors. The new sedan now measures 4,912 mm in length, 1,481 mm in height and 1,849 mm in width. It has a wheelbase of 2,841 mm, identical to the outgoing version. The larger dimensions of the Superb translate to extra head and leg room for both front and rear passengers, along with a slightly larger boot capacity of 645 litres (20 litres more than on the previous model).

In terms of features, the 2024 Superb now comes with the new Skoda 2D logo, new LED Matrix headlights, dark chrome surrounds for the grille, aero-optimised wheels ranging from 16 to 19-inches, C-shaped LED tail lights and the ‘SKODA’ lettering on the boot.

Moving inside, the new-gen Skoda Superb features a 2-spoke steering wheel, a 10-inch virtual cockpit instrument cluster, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, Skoda’s ‘Smart Dials’ – 3 rotary dials on the centre console each with a small display controlling various features in the cabin. This includes climate controls and seat heating & ventilation. The new-gen Superb also comes with the gear lever mounted on the steering column, USB-C charging ports, 15W wireless charging and massage functions on the front seats.

There is also a bunch of safety tech on offer on the 2024 Skoda Superb. Some of these include 10 airbags, ADAS tech, driver attention & drowsiness assist, intelligent park assist, traffic jam assist and plenty more. The sedan also comes with adaptive suspension via Skoda’s Dynamic Chassis Control Plus.

Powering the new Skoda Superb is a range of petrol, diesel and hybrid options. These include a 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system, a 2.0-litre TSI and a 2.0-litre TDI. The range-topping variants also come with a four-wheel-drive system, while a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission is standard with all engine trims.

Skoda will also offer the Superb with a plug-in hybrid, featuring a 1.5-litre TSI unit paired with a 25.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. The plug-in hybrid version will have an electric-only range of 100 km. However, the plug-in hybrid powertrain will be offered exclusively on the ‘Combi’ wagon version of the Superb.
