The updated Porsche Taycan is now deep into development on the Nurburgring and the nearby roads. This one appears to have camouflage only around the headlights, so we get a great look at the styling revisions. Expect it to go on sale in 2024.

The updated Taycan receives an entirely different nose. The lower fascia has a more complex shape with angular sections that lead to inlets in the corners. The bottom portion has a more horizontal layout. The headlights are now flush with the bodywork.

The profile doesn’t change significantly. There’s a new set of wheels with five spokes in black and a white rim.

The tail features a re-sculpted bumper with a slightly sharper look. The taillight strip still spans the whole width of the car.

Earlier spy shots show that Porsche is working on a new Turbo GT variant of the Taycan. It boasts a more prominent front splitter, a more aggressive rear wing, and a different back bumper. The model reportedly makes at least 1,000 horsepower.

We don’t yet have powertrain specs for the other Taycan variants. It’s possible that Porsche could increase the output for the other models. Similarly, any revisions to the battery system and charging setup are also a mystery. Although, a refresh is when the automaker is most likely to change things because so many other updates are happening at the same time.

We don’t have many spy shots of the updated Taycan’s interior. Compared to the current one, the digital instrument cluster appears to be larger. The center console and dashboard don’t seem to have significant styling changes.

The LA Auto Show is in November. Since Porsche isn’t disguising the development vehicles, the company appears to be finishing the updated car. We could see it at the upcoming exhibition. If not, the premiere could be in early 2024.

The Cross Turismo wagon will receive upgrades similar to those for the four-door body. It’s not clear whether Porsche would launch both cars at the same time or stagger their debuts.
