Wheeler Dealers hosts Mike Brewer and Marc Priestley have opened up on the \u201cheartbreaking\u201d moment their restored classic Mk1 Ford Fiesta was stolen by thieves.<\/p>\n
The duo had worked hard to bring a Ford Fiesta Mk1 back to its best before the model was nicked a day before its big unveiling back in June.<\/p>\n
The pair said they had \u201ctears\u201d in their eyes moments after realising the car had been taken from their hotel.<\/p>\n
The restoration of the Fiesta is set to be aired on tonight’s first episode of the new Wheeler Dealers series.<\/p>\n
After repairing the model the duo had planned to take it to a Ford festival in Yorkshire to show off their hard work to enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

And it was heartbreaking.\u201d<\/p>\n Mr Brewer added: \u201cWe devoted so much of our time and attention way above what we normally do on a restoration or a build, into this car because we knew how important this car was.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s only four of them left in the country so this was a really important car for us. To wake up in the morning and find out it had been stolen was destroying. It destroyed us.<\/p>\n DON’T MISS <\/strong> \u201cAnd then to stand in front of 1,000 people at our one festival we had arranged and tell it to them, announce it to them, there were tears. It was really tough.\u201d<\/p>\n The duo had decided to restore the 1970s model because the American car giant announced the end of the Fiesta brand earlier this year.<\/p>\n After the car was stolen, the two hosts issued a passionate plea on special media in a desperate bid to find the car.<\/p>\n Former Top Gear host Richard Hammond also weighed in by posting his own online plea. But, Mr Brewer simply replied: \u201cstill missing\u201d in a blow to his 148,000 followers and fans of the series.<\/p>\n In the new clip, Mr Priestley added: \u201cIt was a hugely emotional day and it has been ever since. For anyone that\u2019s asking for an update on the situation, unfortunately, we haven’t got one. It\u2019s still missing.<\/p>\n \u201cWest Yorkshire Police are still looking at it but so far have come up with nothing so if anyone sees it do let us know.\u201d<\/p>\n But, the team have not given up just yet within a final roll of the dice in a last-ditch effort to be reunited with their Mk1 Fiesta.
