Greeting everyone, in this post I will be giving details on the first service update and group ride organized by the showroom dealer.<\/p>\n
Here are my bike\u2019s first service updates.<\/p>\n

- Odometer Reading during service \u2013 655 Km<\/li>\n
- First Service charge \u2013 1052 Rs.<\/li>\n
- Service Center \u2013 Saptagiri Auto Private Limited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Observations \/ Niggles:<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Vibrations in foot pegs at 4,000 to 5,000 RPM range.<\/li>\n
- Hard gear shifts.<\/li>\n
- The recommendation for the first service schedule is 750 km to 1000 km or 30 to 45 days. Mine was on the 29th day and I decided to get it serviced on the same day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Dropped the vehicle by 12 noon and received it on the same day by 5 PM.<\/p>\n
After service I can easily feel the difference in gear shifts, they have become softer and the vibrations in the foot pegs are also reduced. Apart from these issues and niggles fixed, the regular oil and filter change was done, and the chain is cleaned and lubed.<\/p>\n
Currently, my odometer reads a notch above 900kms, I have crossed the initial break-in period which was to keep the engine RPM below 5,000 r\/min up to 800Kms. During the second break-in period, it is recommended to keep the RPM range below 7,500 r\/min up to 1600 Km. Now, I can open the throttle where the engine roars with life and I can feel the power of the bike.<\/p>\n
I would say that the service provided is of a decent quality overall. The bike feels much better than it was earlier. The engine smoothness has increased.<\/p>\n
Saw this board in the service bay, and though the heading says GSX250\/F, I think most of the points hold good for V-Strom SX250.<\/p>\n

The destination was \u201cGari Resort\u201d located off Kanakapura Road.<\/p>\n
I had never been on a group ride before, this was my first time. Maybe I didn’t get the chance or didn’t explore the possibilities. However, this time I got the opportunity and I readily accepted it. To my surprise, it was a good one and I enjoyed it a lot. There were around 16 bikes, I met a lot of new riders, made new friends, and discussed the bike\u2019s pros and cons.<\/p>\n
The ride itself was a very short one, covering 80 kilometres to and fro. The NICE road covered most of them. Looking forward for more longer rides.<\/p>\n
The resort entry and t-shirts were given as complimentary by the showroom dealer. We had to bear only the fuel and toll charges. The ride was well organized by the dealer, along with us the area Manager, the Sales Manager and a technician accompanied in this event.<\/p>\n
Pre-ride meet and start (flag off) was fixed between 6.30 AM to 7.00 AM from the Sapthagiri Showroom Mathikere branch. Though all the riders had reached on time, the area General Manager took his sweet time to arrive and we finally started by 8.45 AM.<\/p>\n
Before the start, we had to fill out the self-declaration and personal details form.<\/p>\n
