Well-known social media mechanic Scotty Kilmer has advised drivers to consider three affordable models if they are planning to buy a new car.<\/p>\n
Scotty, who has worked on cars for 56 years, regularly posts videos on his social media pages to inform viewers on how to avoid spending hundreds on repairs and stating his views on certain car brands.<\/p>\n
In a recent video, Scotty said that motorists looking to buy a new pickup truck should look at the Chevrolet Colorado due to its solid build quality.<\/p>\n
He explained: \u201cAs you can hear it\u2019s not a tin can, it\u2019s a pretty solid truck. And as we go under, this may have lived in Rhode Island this whole time but man he [the owner] takes care of his vehicles.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no rust on that frame whatsoever and see how shiny it all is. But perhaps even more interesting is the tires, these are the original tires. They\u2019re obviously putting good tires on these.\u201d<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Later in the video, Scotty also recommended that drivers who are planning on buying a new crossover should go for the Mazda CX-30, stating that another friend who bought one was impressed at its value for money.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cYou got to consider he bought this thing for $24,000, a brand-new vehicle for that price, and even though it\u2019s all-wheel drive it gets 25 miles per gallon on the highway.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd if we go under the hood, you\u2019ll see what I like. It\u2019s a four-cylinder in-line engine and it\u2019s 2.5-liters. Now, it\u2019s a nice size four cylinder, this isn\u2019t one of those 1.5, 1.4, 1.1 with turbo, maybe three cylinders instead of four, it\u2019s a good-sized engine.\u201d<\/p>\n Finally, Scotty showed viewers a 1995 Ford F-150, stating that motorists who want something that will be dependable for years to come should try to find one.<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cSure, the paint has seen better days, it\u2019s faded away, but hey it\u2019s structurally sound, it\u2019s only been in a minor wreck in the back years ago.
