Mahindra has issued a service action for the XUV700, Scorpio-N and Thar to replace the flex plate bolt, torque convertor bolt & propeller shaft bolts.

The bolts for the said components come as a set, which includes 11-12 bolts. It is unclear why Mahindra has decided to replace them, but it’s common for carmakers to keep improving certain parts over the vehicle’s lifecycle.

Customers can get more information regarding the latest service action by entering their vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Mahindra’s official website.

Both the Scorpio-N and Thar SUVs are based on a body-on-frame architecture, while the XUV700 uses a monocoque. All three models are available with four-wheel drive. It appears that only the automatic variants come under the scope of the latest service action.
