The first Karizma XMR has rolled out of the Hero MotoCorp factory. Deliveries will commence nationwide later this month.

The Karizma XMR is based on a new chassis, suspended by a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a 6-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Like its predecessor, the new Karizma XMR features a sport fairing, a stylish LED headlamp, an adjustable windscreen and a narrow tail section with a split seat.

The Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine that makes 25.15 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 20.4 Nm @ 7,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slip-and-assist clutch.

Braking is handled by a single petal-type disc at the front and a disc brake at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS.

The Karizma XMR is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Yamaha R15 V4 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
