Bentley has introduced a new sound system, called “Naim for Mulliner” for its Batur sports coupe. The new sound system offered on the limited edition coupe is said to be one of the most expensive new-car options, priced at around US$ 32,000.

The new optional sound system by Bentley claims to have 10,000 hours of development to produce the final audio output. The carmaker claims it is “the most exquisite in-car audio system ever created.” The sound system comes with 20 speakers comprised of six tweeters, nine mid-range speakers, two woofers, two active bass transducers and one sub-woofer.

The sound system is positioned carefully all around the cabin, with extra strengthening at certain places to help prevent any sound distortion. The mid-range speakers come with a single-piece M-cone, patented by audio specialist Focal. Being a single-piece, the speaker is devoid of a dust cap, resulting in improved sound quality.

The $32,000 sound system will be offered as optional for all 18 customers of the Mulliner Batur. The super limited edition luxury sport coupe itself is priced at US$ 2 million. The Batur will be the last Bentley model to utilise the brand’s iconic twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine.
