The Skoda Superb was discontinued from the Indian market earlier this year, following the rollout of the BS6 Phase II emission norms. If the latest reports are true, the sedan could soon make a comeback.

It has been reported that some Skoda dealers have started accepting unofficial bookings for the Superb. However, unlike before, the car will be imported via the CBU route under the government’s GSR 870 rule that allows automakers to import 2,500 units without homologation.

The report states that the Skoda Superb will be offered with the updated 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Being a direct import, the car will also come equipped with several advanced features.

The Superb will come in a single top-spec ‘L&K’ trim. The list of features will include ADAS, park assist, a 360-degree camera, 9 airbags, adaptive chassis control, tyre pressure monitoring system, a Columbus infotainment system and 17-inch alloy wheels.
