MINI has taken the wraps of the 2025 Cooper E and Cooper SE along with the all-electric version of the Countryman.

The Cooper E and Countryman Electric carry forward a familiar design yet have been modernised for the electric powertrain. This includes plenty of exterior changes, revamped interiors, and a bunch of new tech and features.

Starting with the new MINI Cooper E and Cooper SE, the exterior design is minimalistic and features new LED lighting at the front and rear. The car also features flush door handles, while the wheel arch cladding and chrome elements have now been removed. Inside, the new Cooper E & SE carries forward the minimalistic styling. The cabin is centred around the round infotainment display with toggle controls below it, an optional head-up display, steering-mounted controls and premium upholstery all around.

The new MINI Cooper E will come with a 40.7 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor producing 184 BHP and 292 Nm. MINI claims the new Cooper E is capable of sprinting from 0 – 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and offers a max range of 190 miles (305 km) on the WLTP cycle. The Cooper SE, on the other hand, gets a larger 54.2 kWh battery, with the electric motor producing a higher 218 BHP and 329 Nm. The Cooper SE claims a 0 – 100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds and is said to offer a maximum range of 250 miles (402 km) as per the WLTP cycle.

MINI claims the Cooper E and Cooper SE can fast charge at up to 75 kW and 95 kW, respectively. This allows both models to charge from 10-80% in just 30 minutes.

Coming to the MINI Countryman Electric, the new model is said to have grown in size compared to the old version. MINI says the 2025 Countryman Electric is 129 mm longer, 61 mm taller and 20 mm wider than before. Like the Cooper, the Countryman Electric also carries forward a minimalistic design both inside and out. MINI though, will be offering the Countryman Electric with a bunch of driver assistance systems, which include adaptive cruise control and lane centering. The car also comes with the optional Driver Assistance Professional Package, which allows for hands-free driving at up to 37 mph.

The Countryman Electric is also offered in two variants: E and SE ALL4. Both models come with a 64.7 kWh battery pack. The base ‘E’ spec comes with a single electric motor producing 204 BHP and 250 Nm, while the SE trim has dual electric motors offering a higher 313 BHP and 493 Nm. The E trim offers 287 miles (461 km) of range, and the SE claims 269 miles (433 km) as per the WLTP cycles.

MINI claims the Countryman Electric can fast charge at up to 130 kW, with 10-80% taking just 30 minutes.

The electric Cooper and Countryman models will be manufactured in China and will be sold globally. Pricing for both models is expected to be announced closer to the time of launch, expected sometime in 2025.
