Ferrari 812 Widebody By Novitec Has Wild Purple Interior

The V12 has been taken to 829 prancing horses.

Novitec introduced its aftermarket kit for the 812 Superfast at the beginning of the year and now they’re coming out with a follow-up in the form of a widebody package for the V12 monster from Ferrari. Called the “N-Largo” like all of the tuner’s widebody projects, the heavily modified naturally aspirated supercar is now 14 centimeters (5.5 inches) wider at the back thanks to fender flares mounted on the production body.

At the front axle, the standard fenders have been replaced by a widebody set adding 7 cm (2.8 in.) of width to the Superfast to give it a more powerful presence on the road. Those custom rocker panels can come in pure carbon fiber or with a high-gloss or matte coat, and aside from looking good, they optimize the air flow between the fenders.

Just about everywhere you look, something has been changed over the standard car from Maranello. There’s the attention-grabbing wing at the back where a discreet spoiler has been mounted on the roof. Up front, the hood hosts restyled air vents and a reworked bumper to match the wider shoulders of the 6.5-liter machine from Italy. Aside from tinkering with the body, Novitec also got rid of the stock alloys and replaced them with lightweight 21-inch forged wheels at the front and larger 22-inch rims at the back.

Novitec Has A Soft Spot For Ferraris:

Rounding off the list of visible modifications are the new suspension springs bringing the coupe closer to the road by 35 mm (1.37 in.) A hydraulic lift system raises the front end of the vehicle by 40 mm (1.57 in.) to protect the precious underbody whenever the driver has to deal with uneven surfaces. A quad exhaust system with or without adjustable flaps optimizes power delivery and enables the engine to better sing its V12 tune (see the video embedded at the bottom).

Speaking of which, Novitec are working their magic to take the powerhouse from its series 789 horsepower (588 kilowatts) to 829 hp (618 kW). An extra 40 hp might not sound like much, but bear in mind the engine doesn’t have forced induction and it’s always trickier to extract more power from a NA engine. Torque also gets a healthy boost from 718 Newton-meters (530 pound-feet) to 751 Nm (554 lb-ft).

With the upgrade in place, Novitec’s 812 Superfast will run to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 2.8 seconds or a tenth of a second quicker than the standard car. Flat out, it’ll do 214 mph (345 kph), which is slightly above the maximum velocity quoted by Ferrari.

Sky’s the limit when it comes to customizing the car’s cabin as the tuner says it offers a wide variety of leather and Alcantara in just about any color you can think of. That includes the wild purple and black theme of the car featured here.
