Williams add US racer Logan Sargeant to their driver academy ranks

Ahead of the US Grand Prix, Williams have announced the arrival of talented American driver Logan Sargeant to their driver academy.

Sargeant, 20, arrives at the team with three years of Formula 3 experience having recently finished P7 in the 2021 campaign, which included a third career win in the series with victory in the first race at Sochi.

Williams say that Sargeant ‘will utilise his experience to conduct simulator work and help with car development as part of a long-term agreement, becoming fully immersed into the team both trackside and at the factory in Grove.’

His 2021 plans will be announced in due course.

“I am delighted to be joining the Williams Racing Driver Academy,” Sargeant said upon confirmation.

“It’s a team with not only a fantastic history, but a great track record of bringing young talent into Formula 1. I am really excited to begin working with the team and can’t wait to hit the ground running.”
