The world of motorsport and beyond have paid their respects to the legendary ‘voice of Formula 1’, Murray Walker, after he passed away aged 97.
Walker’s passion for motor racing shone through every one of his iconic broadcasts and gave viewers around the globe plenty of laughs and tears over the decades.
He was and still will be a beloved figure held dear by many and that was apparent by the floods of tributes posted on social media after his passing was announced.
Thanks for the memories, Murray, and here is a selection of those tributes made to a broadcasting icon, starting with a couple of men who knew him very well indeed.
