The Ayrton Senna fan festival in video

The HEINEKEN F1 FESTIVAL – AYRTON SENNA TRIBUTE rolled into the streets of Sao Paulo on Saturday, and it didn’t disappoint.

Mercedes and Renault were on-hand to provide some modern flair, while 1972 and 74 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi and fellow Brazilian Felipe Massa got the chance to drive some of Senna’s historic cars.

It was a fitting tribute as the world of motorsport celebrates Senna’s legacy 25 years on from his tragic death, and here was the pick of the action…

All was calm as we got a good look at Senna’s iconic black and gold Lotus 97T that took him to his first F1 victory in 1985.

Iconic ?

Then it was over to Massa who got the chance to take Senna’s first F1 car, the Toleman TG184, for a spin. No wonder he called it a “dream come true”.

Soon after the ex-Ferrari driver got his own chance to drive the Lotus 97T, flying the Brazilian flag with pride around the streets of his home town.
