Prime contenders are the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.

Almost 2 years and 12,000 kilometers completed with my CB350 DLX PRO.
Have got 4 services done till now.
- Changed both front and rear brake pads at 11,000 kms.
- No other major works needed so far.
- Have cleaned and lubed the chain every 500 kms.
- Got the bike professionally washed and detailed once every month.
My review so far:
- Bike is nimble to handle and easy to manoeuvre even in heavy traffic.
- Acceleration in the 2nd and 3rd gear leaves much to be desired.
- Revving the bike up is not a satisfactory experience.
- The seating has never done it for me. 30-40 minutes into a ride and my buttocks get numb. Got aftermarket seats but still no help.
- Somewhere somehow the left hand side bar end weight has fallen off. Have no clue how this happened, I keep tightening them every now and then.
- Pillions, both light (my wife) and heavy (my friends) have complained about comfort post 30-40 minutes.
Going forward with the CD350:
The lacking midrange has been getting to me and I have resolved to replace the CB350 with a more peppier machine. My usage is more commute with a little of touring here and there. Pillion comfort is a must. The options I am considering are:
Suzuki Gixxer 250: Did a test ride. It felt really nimble and snappy. Plus its got glowing reviews over here. However, wasn’t getting a comprehensive test ride on the highways so I’m unsure about its snappiness and willingness to overtake compared to the CB350. Also, I seek some aggressiveness in the open road, which the CB350 doesnt have. Inputs here would be really helpful.
Interceptor 650: Really loved the test ride. The engine is powerful. Somehow felt the ergonomics were not mature and comfortable enough. Then there’s also the spoke wheels which give me puncture anxiety. Also, pillion comfort is unknown.
Any inputs here would be appreciated.
