Renault Kiger starts reaching dealerships

Renault has started dispatching the Kiger to dealerships across India. Reports suggest that some dealers have even started accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs. 10,000.

The Kiger is based on the CMF-A+ platform, which is shared with the Nissan Magnite. It features a V-shaped grille that is typical of modern Renault models and slim LED daytime running lights. It has triple pod LED headlamps that are positioned lower down on the front bumper, C-shaped LED tail lights with gloss black inserts and a roof spoiler.

On the inside, the Kiger comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, ambient lighting and a rear view camera with guidelines, among other features.

The Kiger is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 99 BHP and 160 Nm @ 3,200 rpm. It will also be offered with a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol motor producing 71 BHP and 96 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, CVT (Turbo-Petrol only) and a 5-speed AMT (NA Petrol only).
