A section of the Pan Borneo Highway has reportedly collapsed due to heavy water flow caused by torrents from nearby mountains caused by non-stop heavy rain in the area.
A video shared on The Vibes Twitter account from PKR Sarawak info chief Abun Sui Anyit shows half the road collapsed into a ravine, creating a waterfall in the process.
The Public Works Department in the nearest town of Kapit has issued a public notice telling people to avoid the section. The section is closed to all vehicles for now and repair works have already begun.
If you happen to be in the area, please take note and stay safe.
