Pagani Huayra Roadster BC Makes World Debut In CSR Racing 2

Now, you don’t have to be a millionaire to drive the supercar.

The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC debuts in an unlikely place by making its first appearance in the CSR Racing 2 video game on smartphones. CSR Racing 2 publisher Zynga claims this is the first time ever an automaker is unveiling a new model in a smartphone game.

To promote the car, players can use the Pagani Huayra Coupe in an 80-race ladder and have the chance to add the Roadster BC to their virtual car collection. There’s also the opportunity to win a Zonda HP Barchetta in the game. An augmented reality feature even lets folks put the Pagani cars virtually in front of them and take a closer look at them.

Unfortunately, neither Pagani nor Zynga is yet offering many details about the real-world Huayra Roadster BC. Earlier reports indicate that the droptop actually weighs less than its hardtop counterpart. This generally isn’t the case for coupe-to-convertible conversions due to the necessity of adding chassis stiffening and incorporating the folding roof mechanism. For reference, the standard Huayra BC is already a lightweight 2,685 pounds (1,218 kilograms).

The existing Huayra BC produces 789 horsepower (588 kilowatts) and 811 pound-feet (1,098 Newton-meters) of torque from a 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V12. It’s not currently clear whether Pagani intends to tweak this figure for the Roadster BC.

The production numbers and price of the Huayra Roadster BC are also a mystery at this point. A lower volume and higher price than the Huaryra BC coupe is possible, though. Pagani only made 20 units of the earlier model and sold them for $2.55 million each.

There’s no info yet about an unveiling site for the real-world Huayra Roadster BC, either. With Monterey Car Week coming up in August to gather some of the richest auto enthusiasts in the world in one place, seeing it there wouldn’t be too surprising.

SAN FRANCISCO– July 31, 2019– Today, Zynga Inc. (Nasdaq: ZNGA), a global leader in interactive entertainment, unveiled Pagani Automobili’s jaw-dropping new hypercar, the Huayra Roadster BC, in the world’s most popular mobile drag racing game, CSR Racing 2 (CSR2). This is the first time a car manufacturer has unveiled a real designer car in a mobile game before releasing it to the public. The Roadster BC will be featured in a special 80 race ladder with a time attack leaderboard unlocking at the end.

The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC is the hypercar that embodies Pagani’s ultimate technical and engineering development combined with the most eminent research for style and elegance. Zynga meticulously rebuilt the car in CSR2, just as the real car is handcrafted for Pagani’s customers.

“CSR2 gives players the opportunity to drive rare and exquisite cars that most of us only experience in our dreams,” said Jullian Widdows, Vice President of CSR2. “Seeing the Pagani Roadster BC’s smooth and elegant racing on the streets of CSR2 is a triumphant amalgamation of science and art. We couldn’t be prouder to be Pagani Automobili’s chosen partner to unveil the Roadster BC to the public.”

“When Horacio Pagani first began designing cars 44 years ago, it would have been impossible to imagine that a car like the Roadster BC would ever be unveiled to the world in a mobile game,” said Michael Staskin, Managing Director of Pagani Automobili America. “We chose to partner with CSR2 on the reveal of the Roadster BC because we are both leaders in our respective industries, we both show incredible attention to design and detail and we both continue to disrupt what is considered normal in the automotive industry.”

CSR2 will celebrate the Huayra Roadster BC with an 80 race ladder that players can enter using a Pagani Huayra Coupé, which will be gifted to all players of the game. During the event players have a chance to add the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC to their collection. As a final reward, players can win the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta, to complete their Pagani collection. Using augmented reality, players can also park their Pagani cars in their real-world driveways and open every panel to study the details close up.

CSR2 is available to download for free on the App Store as well as Google Play. For more information about CSR2, visit the game’s community channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
