Over 2,500 units of Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 recalled

As of now, the recall seems to be applicable for the international markets only.

Harley-Davidson has announced a recall for the Pan America 1250 over a “seat base failure” issue. A total of 2,689 units of the ADV manufactured between March 8 and October 13, 2021, have been affected by this.

Based on the information available, the seat base might not be fastened properly. This could cause the handhold portion of the base to fracture. The seat base of the units affected by this recall will be replaced by a new one.

As of now, the recall seems to be applicable for the international markets only. Harley-Davidson India has not shared any information about the same yet.

In India, the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 is available in two variants – Standard and Special. Both models are powered by the same 1,252cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin Revolution Max engine that makes 150 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 127 Nm @ 6,750 rpm.

Harley-Davidson has recently launched the Sportster S in India. The latest offering from the American motorcycle company carries a price tag of Rs 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
