Jeep Compass facelift could be unveiled in November 2020

The Compass facelift is likely to come with Level 2 Autonomous driving technology.

The Jeep Compass facelift is expected to be unveiled next month at the Guangzhou auto show in China. It could be launched in India sometime in early 2021.

The Compass will get a few cosmetic changes. The updated front fascia will feature slimmer LED headlights, revised front and rear bumpers and new alloy wheels. On the interior, the car could get a new steering wheel and a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit. Reports suggest that higher variants could get a digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera and wireless charging.

Additionally, the Compass facelift is likely to come with Level 2 Autonomous driving technology, which includes systems like highway assist, traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, active blind-spot assist and driver attention alert. However, it is unclear whether these features will be offered in the India-spec Compass.

In the international market, the Compass gets a new 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine along with a plug-in hybrid version. In India, Jeep will continue to offer the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm and the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 161 BHP and 250 Nm.
