Bentley Has a Fancy Concept Coming to Celebrate Its Centennial

Bentley is officially turning 100 years old on July 10, and ahead of its birthday, the automaker has announced that it will reveal a vehicle that previews its future. The Bentley EXP 100 GT Concept will supposedly be a “transformative zero-emissions concept” that showcases Bentley’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Bentley says that the EXP 100 GT Concept will feature its signature handcrafted interiors with new design cues and materials that highlight the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and doing everything by hand. The video embedded below provides a quick glimpse of the vehicle, and it appears to have butterfly doors that swing up. Its door-sill plate is finished in what appears in a brushed or matter silver with bronze or copper-color lettering. Bentley’s special landing page for the vehicle also shows off a silhouette that looks sleek and low slung. Its design cues look circular and rounded, like a slimmer Continental GT.

There’s no word on how far into the future the Bentley EXP 100 GT Concept looks, but it may be a glimpse of an upcoming all-electric model. With parent company Volkswagen Group’s EV offensive, Bentley will have options to underpin an EV. Based on the teaser shot on Bentley’s special website, the EXP 100 GT Concept may be an all-electric coupe with the proportions of a vehicle with its powertrain mounted amidships. We’ll find out more when Bentley officially reveals the car on July 10.
