None of the steering & suspension components on the Hilux Extreme Off-road concept are functional though.
Toyota showcased the Hilux Extreme Off-road Concept at the Auto Expo 2023.
As the name suggests, this is a rugged, go-anywhere version of the Hilux. It gets an off-road specific bumper equipped with a bull bar, a winch, a bash plate, auxiliary LED lights, a roof rack and a snorkel. The rear bumper has been replaced with a rugged piece equipped with a tow hitch.
This Hilux concept comes with a lift kit and 37-inch mud tires. It also gets a spare tire carrier at the back. None of the steering & suspension components on the concept truck are functional though.
In India, the Toyota Hilux is offered with a 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 201 BHP (204 BHP – 6MT) and 500 Nm (420 Nm – 6MT). The engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes with a four-wheel-drive system, an electronic differential lock, a limited-slip differential and Active Traction Control.
