Caravans and motorhomes are often seen as a great value way to take a trip on the open road.
But that might not be the case when it comes to the Volkner Mobil Performance S, which costs a staggering £1.4million.
The Dusseldorf-based firm have been making ultra-luxurious motorhomes for nearly 40 years and recently unveiled one designed to house a Bugatti Chiron.
While this model sadly doesn’t come with a Bugatti for the money, it certainly packs plenty in.
The focal point of the vehicle is undoubtedly the hydraulically-powered garage that slides out from under the home.
Using a steel-plated floor and steel legs the vehicle raises itself to allow the car to fit underneath.
Originally designed to accommodate a Mini hatchback, the space helpfully also fits a Porsche 911.
But if parking a high-end sports car isn’t required, the system also works in tandem with a motorised canopy to provide a seating area.
The lofty price isn’t the only impressive number when it comes to the Performance S.
Weighing a colossal 18 tonnes, it measures 40 feet in length, 8.2 feet in width and is over 12 feet tall.
That size and weight requires a massively-powerful engine, which comes in the form of a Volvo-supplied diesel that produces 460hp.
There’s also an enormous 350 litre fuel tank that’s perfect for extended drives to far-flung destinations.
Inside there’s 377 square feet of space to stretch out in, along with almost every feature you could wish for.
Both the driver and passenger seats are heated and cooled with a massage function and can be fully rotated.
Further back is a plush seating area with a dining table, a motorised TV screen and storage units.
There’s also a fully-fitted kitchen with top-of-the-range stoves, an oven and even a dishwasher.
Continuing toward the rear of the Performance S is where the bathroom is situated, with a walk-in shower, a heated toilet and a mirrored sink which actually adapts to slide out two further beds.
The main sleeping area is further to the back however, with a King-size bed, more storage areas, windows and a skylight.
Power for all the appliances comes courtesy of several solar panels mounted on the roof that produce power that’s then stored in battery packs.
The vehicle also has space for an 800 litre fresh water tank and a 300 litre tank for the toilet.
While the Performance S is undoubtedly one for the very well off, it pales in comparison to the EleMMent Palazzo Superior by Marchi Mobiles.
Costing more than $3million (£2.25million) to buy, the Palazzo features a sky-deck, an exterior stairway and underfloor heating.
Aside from the technology in the vehicle like aviation-style dashboards, huge LED screens, on-board Wifi and a Steinway & Lyngdorf stereo, the bed linen is supplied by the same company as provided to the Royal Family.
Perhaps not a trip to bring the family dog on.
