We’ve said it enough about in-person events over the last year, but the SEMA Show 2021 is back and is a live event with real people, again! With approximately 100,000 people expected to attend and over 1,300 exhibitors registered for 2021, converting the Las Vegas Convention Center into the biggest automotive trade show in the world is no simple task. HOT ROD was early to arrive on the scene, catching all the behind-the-scenes action while everyone hustled to get booths set up and cars in place.
At its founding in 1967, SEMA—then, Speed Equipment Manufacturers Association; now, Specialty Equipment Market Association—was a coalition of speed parts manufacturers catering mostly to hot rods, but in the ensuing 54 years has grown to include all different types of parts manufacturers, parts retailers and distributors, media outlets, racing teams, special service organizations, and more.
The SEMA Show 2021, as always, is closed to the public (qualified industry types only can register to attend), but HOT ROD is giving you a peek behind the curtain during crunch time. Enjoy this behind-the-scenes gallery and stay tuned to MotorTrend.com/HOTROD for more action from the SEMA Show 2021.
