Nissan Promotes Electric Cars At The UEFA Champions League Final

Nissan provides a huge 363-strong fleet of electric cars to transport officials and visitors at the UEFA Champions League Final in Madrid.

Nissan is present at the UEFA Champions League Final in Madrid, Spain for the fifth season as Official Automotive Sponsor with a record number of electric cars.

This year, the Japanese manufacturer is providing for the world’s largest annual sporting event a fleet of 363 LEAF cars and e-NV200 vans to transport officials and visitors. The fleet is expected to cover more than 220,000 km (137,000 miles) during the event.

“Nissan aims to improve air quality and reduce the environmental impact on the host city during this high-traffic weekend, with the largest zero-emissions fleet in the history of the competition.”

The nice thing is also that this year Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos will deliver the trophy in the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC 2.0!

“This year the Nissan fleet also includes a Nissan LEAF NISMO RC 2.0 race car, which will be used by Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos as he delivers the UEFA Champions League Trophy from the UEFA Champions Festival in Puerta del Sol to the Estadio Metropolitano.”
