I hope the people with these stickers weren’t driving stoned… but maybe this would explain all those Olds Aleros and Kia Sephias doing 40 in the left lane on I-25.
You can learn a lot about a culture from what you find in its discarded vehicles, and I noticed a big change during my travels through Colorado wrecking yards immediately after the state legalized recreational cannabis in 2014: more and more cars and trucks went to the crusher sporting prominently displayed stickers and air fresheners (and, sometimes, actual dope, or at least dope containers) from cannabis dispensaries. I’ve assembled a big gallery of a tiny sampling of the weed-centric stuff I’ve seen in and on these doomed machines.

To be honest, a handful of these photos were shot in California, where wastoids have been blazing up legally since 2018; I don’t see quite as many dispensary stickers in California yards… but give the Golden State time.
I’m pretty sure BMW didn’t have this in mind when this car was new.
What’s next for Colorado? Legalized psilocybin! Designers of dispensary stickers will need to get way more psychedelic when that happens, and I look forward to seeing those stickers when they show up on hooptified Chrysler 300Ms and Daewoo Leganzas.
