Hyundai has released a new teaser image of the upcoming Concept 45 which will launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019 in September. The teaser image seemingly reveals the rear light design of the new electric concept car. Hyundai looks to be following in the footsteps of Honda with the retro-inspired electric car design. Honda captured the imagination of fans with the ‘e’ which is set to latch later this year.
The Concept 45 is said to be inspired by the brand’s first model in the 1970s and will share some of the same design language.
At the rear of the car is an LED light bar which will act as the taillights and looks to be fully illuminated when the car brakes.
The carmaker states that the fully-electric concept car will act as a ‘symbolic milestone for Hyundai’s future EV design.’
It also stated that the new concept ‘accentuates the forward-driven design direction while exploring the evolution of Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language.’
The ‘Sensuous’ is said to stand for ‘enhanced emotional values’ for the customers to ‘experience through design’ while the ‘Sportiness’ will look to implement those values through innovative mobility solutions.’
There is no word on the specs of the vehicle at the moment or whether the car will be an entry-level, mid or high-end electric car.
No interior pictures have been released of the car just yet but the carmaker hinted that the interior will be unique that demonstrate how they’re ‘rethinking mobility.’
It will make its world debut on September 10th at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019.
