BMW Malaysia offers BMW Charging package – get 800 JomCharge credits for RM640, plus 10% discount – paultan.org
BMW Malaysia has introduced BMW Charging in partnership with EV charging provider JomCharge, which will offer BMW EV owners discounted charging rates and a lower membership price. Here, the BMW Charging package is a new one that is exclusive to BMW EV owners.
New and existing BMW electric vehicle owners are entitled to register for the BMW Charging package, and this will incur a one-time fee of RM640. This is a non-renewable subscription for one year, where the original membership price is RM800, however BMW EV customers will get the aforementioned RM640 price.
The BMW Charging package will also include RM160 in JomCharge credits, and a 10% discount off their charging bill in the first year, says BMW Malaysia. This 10% discount applies to charging transactions through the JomCharge app.
While the BMW ChargeNow membership offers access and additional privileges on the ChargEV network, this new BMW Charging does the same for the JomCharge network, as well for Gentari through the same app; the latter has just launched Southeast Asia’s first 350 kW DC charger in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
Owners of BMW and MINI electric vehicles can access to more than 550 charging facilities across the country so far, mainly in conjunction with partners including JomCharge with 65 charging outlets, Gentari with around 50 outlets, and ChargEV with more than 330 charging outlets.
The ChargEV network includes 26 outlets by ChargEV and Yinson GreenTech at 17 Starbucks retail stores in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor. Additionally, there are more than 80 charging outlets are available at most authorised BMW and MINI dealerships nationwide. Expansion of the charging infrastructure will continue in 2023, with an expansion plan already in place, says BMW Malaysia.
