2024 Mazda CX-90, 2023 Lucid Air top this week’s new car reviews

As 2023 models continue to roll into dealer lots, automakers have begun showing off what’s coming for the 2024 model year, such as the Mazda CX-90, a larger replacement for the CX-9 three-row SUV. This week we tested new entry-level electric cars from Audi and Volvo, tracked the impressive efficiency of the Hyundai Ioniq 6, and followed the latest price cuts and increases on a range of cars.

2024 Mazda CX-90 preview

The Mazda CX-90 will replace the CX-9 as the brand’s largest SUV, bringing the possibility of a plug-in hybrid version plus seating for up to 8.

2023 Lucid Air review

From leading-edge efficiency, range, and performance to all the expected safety and tech features, the Lucid Air is an excellent car, achieving an 8.6 out of 10.

2023 Audi Q4 E-Tron review

The Q4 lacks driving excitement but has an excellent interface and roomy, quiet cabin. It’s a 7.7 out of 10. 

2023 Volvo C40 review

With its unusual styling, the Volvo C40 Recharge is an EV for style mavens. 

2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT review

The luxury performance hatchback with available twin-turbo V-8 power and all the right moves and all the luxury features. It’s a 6.8. 

2023 Mazda 3 review

Fun driving dynamics, sophisticated style, and a good safety rating offset Mazda’s convoluted infotainment and middling gas mileage to earn a TCC Rating of 6.3 out of 10.

2023 Nissan Titan review

The 2023 Nissan Titan covers the bases, but does little more to earn the love of truckers. It’s a 5.0.
